The new MG HS PHEV can reach over 100 km (WLTP) of range in EV mode with a single charge, thanks to the new platform and MG's experience in electric vehicles.

New Generation PHEV

The new PHEV transmission system is based on a combination of advanced components. It features a turbocharged 1.5-liter engine optimized for hybrid performance, with a remarkable thermal efficiency of 43% and power of 143 horsepower. The transmission system also includes a powerful electric motor that delivers 135 kW (183 horsepower), ensuring strong acceleration in both electric and hybrid modes.

Additionally, the generator provides 110 kW (150 horsepower) for efficient power supply to the electric motor. To maintain optimal performance, an automatic transmission is integrated, with a 21.4 kWh battery, one of the largest in its class, offering impressive range over 100 km in electric mode.

Flexible Driving

The new MG HS offers different driving modes, so you always make the most of the electric motor and the internal combustion engine.

Full EV Mode: With 7kW AC charging capability, you can charge the battery in just 3 hours and enjoy full EV mode for quiet driving for more than 100 km.

Hybrid Mode: When needed, the new MG HS PHEV can operate either as a parallel or series hybrid to offer either high performance or low fuel consumption. Don't worry, it's all simple for you; depending on speed, acceleration requirements, and battery charge, these different driving scenarios are selected automatically.
